Rates & Fees

In a first meeting with you at our office we will take a look on the issue of duty assignment, of a lawyer, under the terms of the Legal Aid Board refunding regulations. A duty lawyer takes up cases for clients who lack financial capacity, which would prevent them from hiring a solicitor to defend their interests.

Hourly rates

If you do not qualify for a duty assignment of a solicitor, an hour’s rate of  € 175, -- per hour, VAT of 19% not included, and a supplementary office fee of 5 % on top as well as advances of special fees, e.g. court levies, will be applicable.

However we prefer working with an “all-inclusive” amount to be fixed beforehand, and our guess is that clients appreciate the transparency involved. Any such all-inclusive amount of fees will need to be settled at forehand, depending on the range and nature of the case at hand, and on issues such as the likeable prospect of court hearings as well as an estimation of the amount of time to be invested.
